By Chubb | 24th June 2024
BLACKBURN, UK, 13th June 2024 – Chubb Fire and Security, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2024 Community Volunteer Awards, a premier event celebrating the unsung heroes of Blackburn with Darwen. The awards ceremony, hosted by Community CVS and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, will take place at King George’s Hall on Thursday, 7th November 2024, with Graham Liver as the event host.
The Community Volunteer Awards aim to celebrate and recognise the hard work and dedication of the borough’s volunteers, who tirelessly contribute to making Blackburn with Darwen a better place to live. Last year’s event was a tremendous success, with over 700 individuals and groups nominated. It showcased a diverse range of committed volunteers, from those keeping their community clean to those supporting individuals, charities, and organisations. The youngest volunteer nominated was just eight years old, while the oldest was eighty-five, highlighting the broad spectrum of community involvement.
Chubb’s Commitment to Volunteering
Volunteering is a cornerstone of vibrant and resilient communities. Chubb believes in the power of giving back and fostering a culture of service. Its charitAble programme supports its employees in volunteering for causes that matter most to them, empowering them to make a positive impact in their communities. Through this programme, the company enhances its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives while also improving employee morale and building stronger relationships within the community.
“We are immensely proud to sponsor the Community Volunteer Awards and to support the recognition of the extraordinary efforts of volunteers within Blackburn with Darwen,” said Craig Forbes, Chief Financial Officer at Chubb. “Their dedication and selflessness are inspiring, and it is essential that we acknowledge and celebrate their contributions. This event highlights the incredible impact that volunteers have on their communities, and we are honoured to be a part of it.”
Supporting the Community Volunteer Awards aligns perfectly with Chubb’s values and mission. These awards celebrate the selfless contributions of individuals who dedicate their time and energy to making their communities better places to live. By recognising and honouring these volunteers, Chubb not only acknowledges their hard work and dedication but also inspires others to get involved in volunteering.
“Our sponsorship of the Community Volunteer Awards underscores our commitment to supporting the local community and recognising the invaluable contributions of volunteers,” added Kimberley Coddington, Senior Business Assurance Administrator at Chubb. “We are honoured to be associated with such an important event that showcases the best of Blackburn with Darwen’s community spirit.”
The funds raised through sponsorships ensure that the event remains a high-quality, memorable night for all the nominees. Additionally, the sponsorship packages offer organisations the chance to be associated with this premier event and access space on the Council’s digital advertising assets.
