Chubb provides a pre-occupancy report to help customers identify the requirement for fire precautions so that they can adhere to the relevant legislative requirements in their premises. The report will help determine whether the newly constructed or refurbished premises are fit for occupation. If not, the assessor will create a plan for the customer. This will ensure that the premises is upgraded to the required standard and meet the requirements of current legislation.   The pre-occupancy report conducted by a fire safety expert will determine fire risks associated with the property. The assessment will identify the following:

  • The purpose of the building/premises
  • The applicable fire-related legislation and the guidance document(s) used
  • Means of escape
  • Internal fire spread
  • Firefighting provisions
  • Fire protection measures

Assessment plays a vital role in helping to reduce incidents and aids in providing a safe working environment for all employees. Once your building is occupied, a fire risk assessment is required.
