Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Chubb brand this year, Chubb Fire & Security Pty Ltd has received top honour for the best integrated security solution over $500,000 from the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL).

 

Brett Bertram from SAAB, and Peter Ford and Steve Komorowski from Chubb with the ASIAL award for best integrated security solution over $500,000.

Chubb, in conjunction with SAAB, received the award for designing and installing a new security and video management solution for Queensland Children’s Hospital (formerly the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital). The award-winning solution encompassed all aspects of hospital security from access control and video management to communications and asset tracking.

Critical security and safety subsystems were integrated into one comprehensive interface to create a common situational picture for the hospital’s security team, giving them a simple and easy-to-use tool to help resolve situations as they happen and react to events automatically.

“Carrying out a technically demanding project in a large, mission-critical environment like a hospital takes a great deal of collaboration with clinical and operational stakeholders,” said Peter Ford, account manager, Chubb Integrated Systems.

The honour was announced at the 23rd annual Australian Security Industry Awards event on 18 October 2018 at the Doltone House in Sydney’s Hyde Park. Attended by security industry leaders across Australia, the event marks the fifth year in a row Chubb has brought home awards, bringing the total awards won to nine since 2014.
