Chubbs Fire Extinguisher Courses

Fire Awareness and Extinguisher Training

Practical workplace training designed to build awareness of fire risks, extinguisher types and safe first-response actions. Choose the delivery format that suits your team.

Option 1 — Classroom with Extinguisher Demonstration

Trainer-led classroom learning covering fire safety fundamentals, fire classes, extinguisher types and safe response decisions. A live demonstration shows how portable firefighting equipment is used. Best suited to teams that need group-based awareness training without individual practical assessment.

Option 2 — Practical Extinguisher Use

Participants operate a fire extinguisher on a safe, controlled gas fire under trainer supervision. This option builds confidence through hands-on use and is suited to wardens, nominated responders and people working in higher-risk environments.

Option 3 — Classroom Plus Practical

Combines classroom theory with supervised hands-on extinguisher use. Participants learn how to identify fire risks, select suitable equipment and practise safe first-response actions. This is the most comprehensive general workplace training option.

Option 4 — Online

Complete Fire Awareness and Extinguisher Training online at your own pace. This option supports organisations with multiple sites, remote teams or shift-based workforces. The online course provides a Certificate of Completion and is not nationally recognised.

For face-to-face general courses, a Statement of Attendance may be issued upon request. Participants who successfully complete the fully online self-paced course receive a Certificate of Completion.
